Chevrolet was at the CES this year where they showed off their new Chevrolet Bolt. Of all the things they talked about, there was one very important detail that decide to keep to themselves, the price, until now.
All Chevrolet reveal that their aim for the Chevrolet Bolt was to have it become an affordable model but when it comes electric powered cars like the Bolt, affordable does not necessarily mean what we think it means.
In the case of the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt, the affordable that GM mention is $30,000 before all the federal tax credit. It is estimated with all the federal tax credit, the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt will retail at $37k which is cheaper compared to a lot of the electric cars in the market but will people actually be willing to pay $30 for a compact car?
According to Chevrolet, the Chevrolet Bolt will be able to offer their customers about 200miles of range and that the battery will only need 9 hours to fill up.
