Mercedes’s biggest rival has always been BMW. Let’s put the BMW 340i and the Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG up against each other to see which one of them is the real winner.
The Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG comes running on a 3.0 liter turbocharged V6 engine that will be delivering about 362hp and 384lb ft of torque. The engine will come mated to a seven-speed auto transmission. The vehicle will need 4.8seconds to go from 0-60mph and will return about 21mpg in the city and 29mpg on the highway.
The BMW 340i, on the other hand, will come running on a 3.0 liter turbocharged inline six engine that will be delivering about 320hp and 332lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed manual although customers can opt for the eight-speed auto transmission sourced from ZF. The BMW will need 4.6 seconds to go from 0-60mph and will return about 22mpg in the city and 33mpg on the highway.
The Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG will retail for $51,715 while the BMW 340i will retail for $48,795.
