It is clear that there is one obvious winner between the Toyota Prius and the Chevrolet Volt. Do you want to guess which?
The Toyota Prius will be coming in with an upgrade 4 cylinder hybrid engine that will return about 54mpg in the city and 50mpg on the highway. As good as that sounds, it is not the best the Prius can do. The Prius Eco model is able to return about 58mpg in the city and 53mpg on the highway but is that enough?
Not really. The Chevrolet Volt is able to return about 53miles on electric alone. Pump in some gasoline and you will be able to squeeze out about 106mpg from the Chevrolet Volt. Did we also mention that the Chevrolet Volt looks way more appealing than the Toyota Prius?
That is why we think the Chevrolet Volt is the clear winner here.
