2015 Chevy Colorado Called Back From Manufacturer!

Just last week, Chevrolet launched the highly-anticipated next-generation Colorado and the vehicle is already picked up by 49 individuals. Unfortunately, the Colorado has been halted from further sales and all 49 sold units have to be returned after Chevrolet announced on a suspected fault with the pickup truck.

Chevrolet’s parent company, GM, revealed that the driver-side airbag connections were wired incorrectly during the manufacturing process that can lead to a deployment failure when in a crash. Such a mishap can lead to fatal injuries or even death.

On the bright side of things, the fix for the issue is a relatively simple one. GM revealed that a simple software patch on the Colorado’s system will solve the problem. Colorado owners should head down to the nearest service centre and get their vehicle updated with the patch. It will take less than 15 minutes and the problem should be erased.

At the moment, all 49 owners have been personally notified via their contact details. There has yet to be any injuries, accidents or death that is caused by the malfunctioning airbag.
