Toyota seems to be pretty pleased with the new Toyota Prius but it looks like they might want to watch out for the Chevrolet Volt.
While both models are two of the most efficient model we have in the market, it looks like the Volt might have a slight edge over the Toyota Prius. The Chevrolet Volt is able to return about 53miles on electric alone. Pour in some petrol and you will be able to get 106mpg out of the Volt.
The Toyota Prius, on the other hand, will return about 54mpg in the city and 50mpg on the highway with its 4 cylinders hybrid engine. Those looking to save more on fuel will be offered the Prius Eco which will return about 58mpg in the city and 53mpg on the highway.
As amazing as that is, it is still nowhere near what the Chevrolet Volt can offer. Let’s not forget about the ugly exterior design that the Toyota Prius has on right now.
