Just yesterday, Americans got a good look at the Black Friday deals that will be offered by Walmart this 28 November. Obviously the deals are super sweet and it left us wondering on if Walmart will profit from the promotion they are putting up.
Apparently, the answer is yes. Walmart will be getting bags of profits on Black Friday. If not, they won’t even participate in the special day which rewards the consumers. As for the employees, they will have to sacrifice their time to serve the customers but at the benefit of a bonus salary system.
Then again, many are calling for the government to end the Black Friday culture so that the employee can spend their time celebrating Thanksgiving. It is a pity to see the employees having to open the doors early for Black Friday.
Business-wise, it is important for Walmart to open their gates early. Failing to do so will put them behind close rivals like Kohl’s, Staples and more. On the bright side of things, Nordstorm, Gamestop, Costco, TJX and more will be closed for Thanksgiving.
