It is a rather sucky feeling for Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 users at the moment as they have yet to get the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. Things got worse when the users realized that all the other carriers in the US have updated their S4 variants.
On the bright side of things, the international version of the Galaxy S4 is also pending to receive the KitKat. This is unusual as Samsung normally released an update to the international devices before sending them to the carriers.
Despite the long wait, Verizon Galaxy S4 users can start smiling as there is a rumour which reveals that the KitKat is currently being tested by Verizon. After all, the Big Red has a habit of taking their own sweet time with an update. The positive is that when Verizon rolls out an update, it is often problem free.
The annoying thing is that there is no predicting on when Verizon will let out the KitKat to its Galaxy S4 variants. Looking at the carrier’s habit, they will not announce a date or anything in regards to the update. Instead, the Verizon prefers to surprise its users by adding the update on its website or sending it out OTA at random.
However, it is safe to expect the Android 4.4.2 KitKat to be coming soon. After all, the Big Red has yet to be later than smaller carriers like Cricket, C Spire and MetroPCS.
