One of the must have games for the Xbox One is right around the corner. We are of course talking about Titanfall. Respawn held an open beta recently for the game, but how well did it go?
Titanfall will be a multi-player only game and gamers will want it to offer something superb. Some gamers have said that Titanfall is a clone of some of the other popular shooting games on the market. Elements from other games can be found in it, but there isn’t a game out there that combines the elements as does Titanfall. Matches are very fast and challenging, they are fun and at times they can be crazy.
In the beta there are three difference game types, these being Team Deathmatch, group challenge and Last Titan Standing. It is important to work with the team in the game types that are team based. This can be annoying as sometimes other players are not the best.
After many matches things can get a little on the stale side and they can be limited. This is to be expected of course as the game is just the beta version.
Even if you are not that good a player in multi-player games, you can still have a lot of fun. The bots can help you to get points and they do leave you feeling as though you have accomplished something. When running along the sides of buildings and hopping over rooftops, things did feel smooth and swift and you can have fun piloting a mech, ejecting out of it and landing on the enemy Titan and blasting them.
All in all Titanfall does a lot of things right and gamers playing Call of Duty 4 for the first time will think it feels the same playing Titanfall. While the idea isn’t something that is new, but the way in which the game makes you feel when playing it more than makes up for this.
The hype that has surrounded Titanfall does warrant it and when it arrives it should be the a superb multi-player experience.
Titanfall comes to the Xbox One and PC on 11 March, Xbox 360 owners will have to wait until 25 March to get their hands on it, and I cannot wait.
