Recently Michael Pachter was asked by gamers whether Titanfall 2 would be an exclusive on the Xbox One. This was in relation to the fact that many people have said the PS4 will outsell the Xbox One thanks to the console being cheaper.
Pachter said that we could be seeing the last exclusive on the Xbox One. He also said that perhaps if the developers had known that the Xbox One was going to come in at around $100 more than the PS4 then they would never have agreed to an exclusive for the Xbox One in the first place.
More than likely the developers expected Microsoft to kick butt with their new console and in 2012 that when the Xbox One came out it would be something special. What they didn’t count on was that Microsoft would sell their console for a lot more money than Sony did with the PS4, they probably thought that both consoles would come in at around the same price. Microsoft priced too high and this seems to have taken everyone by surprise, developers and gamers alike.
So unless Microsoft brings down the price of the Xbox One it is looking as though there will come an end to exclusivity for EA games on the Xbox One in the future.
