We have heard that the release of the Apple iPhone 6 could be early May but this as to be taken with a pinch of salt as we are wary of the legitimacy of the report. Along with this it was said that the iPhone 6 could be more in line with the size of a phablet at 5.7 inches and the handset could arrive with the rear sensor seen on the Apple iPhone 4S.
Rumour has it that the iPhone 6 could beat all other generations of iPhones for having the best camera, which could offer what has been said to be exciting shooting capabilities. BGR said that Apple will be updating the camera but that Apple will not get drawn into a megapixel war as have some of the Android phones.
With this in mind fans could expect to see a camera of around 8MP on the back of the Apple iPhone 6, unlike vast megapixels seen on devices from HTC and Samsung with the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4.
Unwired View said that there should be vast improvements for auto-focus and optical image stabilisation.
A patent filing by Apple was recently uncovered with Unwired View saying that the iPhone 6 would arrive in a familiar package with improvements to the capability of the handset. They said:
“Miniature cameras are becoming increasingly common in mobile electronic devices such as smartphones. There is a constant drive to improve performance of such cameras, while still maintaining the same envelope,” the same report quoted the Apple document as saying.
While Apple don’t want to get into the megapixel wars it does appear that they might have given in to displays that will be more in line with devices on Android.
GottaBeMobile said that Apple will more than likely keep the 8MP camera but the camera would be in a larger casing with the iPhone 6 possibly having a display of 5.7 inches.
Specs were taken from suggestions that we could see Apple launch three versions of the iPhone this year. Two are suggested to be phablets at 4.7 inches and 5.7 inches, these could be launched in May. Apple would then launch the iPhone 6 with a possible release date in September.
It was also rumoured that Apple could just move into the phablet market with the iPhone 6 or they might call it the iPhone Air, with the handset arriving around May.
It has been suggested that the Apple iPhone 6 may arrive with what has been said to be an indestructible Liquidmetal casing along with coating of sapphire glass. Other specs are said to include the A8 processor in 64 bit mobile computing standard and run on iOS 8.
This is all speculation at the moment and we are wary of this report.
