The Life Span Of The Subaru BRZ Could Come Too Soon

It is looking as if the life span of the Subaru BRZ could be coming too soon. The latest model came out in 2013 and it is looking as though it could have reached its end as the relationship between Fuji Heavy Industries, the owner of Subaru, and Toyota has turned bad.

It seems that Subaru were reluctant to go ahead with new models. Toyota on the other hand has wanted to go ahead with the GT86 for some time. Subaru didn’t want this to happen.

So indications are that Toyota could be about to leave Subaru and if this should happen it could mean the end for the BRZ.

This news came out after the Toyota Chief Engineer said that we could see the 86 become a BMW/Toyota model. This would be great news for the GT86 as BMW is known to offer a better finish along with details, compared to Subaru.

The 86 may also arrive with an engine that has been downsized and which comes with a turbocharger, as this seems to be the in-thing at the moment.

It is looking as if Toyota did the smart thing by leaving Subaru and going to BMW.
