The 2015 Scion iA Will Never Be A Mazda 2!

The recent New York Auto Show played host to many unveilings and among them is the Scion iA. The compact sedan is described to be a rebadged Mazda 2 and it will start selling here in the US next week.

Then again, pure Mazda fans are not happy with the Scion iA as they have tweaked the design of the original Mazda 2 with some essence of Toyota. After all, Scion is owned by Toyota and it is unsure what the Japanese carmaker was thinking when it made the front grille look like a Yaris.

To make things worse, Scion opted for the iA to be a compact sedan when clearly, everybody wants a hatchback version of the Mazda 2. After all, the Mazda 2 is runs on a decently powered, satisfying engine and this works best with the versatility of a hatch, not a compact sedan.

In short, the Scion iA should be viewed as a big no by Americans and the car deserves to be categorized together with the worst clone cars in China.
