Both the Toyota Prius and Chevrolet Volt was given a brand new exterior design along with upgrades features but, more importantly, is that both these models are now way more efficient than the previous model.
The Toyota Prius will be coming in with a 4 cylinder hybrid engine that will be returning about 54mpg in the city and 50mpg on the highway. There is also the Prius Eco model which will return about 58mpg in the city and 53mpg on the highway.
The Chevrolet Volt, on the other hand, will come in with a plug-in hybrid powertrain that will return about 53miles on electric alone and is estimated to offer about 106mpg combine.
Based on the numbers, it might look like the Volt is the better option but customers will also have to take into consideration the long 4.5 hours charging time. Which of these fuel savers would you pick?
