It was very recently ago when Australia’s major carrier, Vodafone, revealed that they have received Sony’s Android 5.0 Lollipop ROM and are testing it prior to launching the update to the Xperia Z3 and other Xperia devices.
Now, it is Telstra’s turn to do so and they share that the Xperia Z3 will get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update between 13-15 April, next month. Similarly, both the Z3 Compact and the Xperia Z2 will get the Lollipop update at the same time.
It is also worth noting that Sony will be launching the update to their devices based on regions in time zone order so Xperia Z3 users from other parts of the world can look forward to receiving the update in about a week after Australia’s updating moment.
Then again, this is just Telstra’s time frame for the Xperia Z3 Lollipop update. For other carriers in the land down under, they might launch the Lollipop update earlier than anticipated.
