“Luangpor” is basically Thai for sacred amulet and it was recently used to describe the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 after the old phablet saved a local police officer, Sophon, from a bullet shot.
In detail, the law enforcer situated in Chiang Mai was shot in the waste by a criminal suspect but the bullet hit straight at his Note 2 resting inside his pocket. The impact forced the bullet to lose tremendous speed thus only causing a minor injury to Sophon.
Upon making that statement, Samsung personally contacted Sophon to give him a brand new Samsung Galaxy S6. The South Korean tech giant even went as far as paying for his transportations to Bangkok just so he could claim the smartphone.
Who knows? With the tons of features on the Samsung Galaxy S6 together with its new glass-based cover, the smartphone might just be a better bullet deflector than the Note 2 will ever be.
