The Samsung Galaxy S5 is a handset that is packed with numerous features and there may be some that you haven’t yet come across with it. We all know about the heart rate sensor and the fingerprint scanner, but what else does it come with?
There is a one hand mode on the handset that you can use to shrink down the display so that you can use it with just one hand. Check it out in the Sound and Display settings.
Under the Display setting you can choose to boost the sensitivity of the handset. This is great for using the phone in inclement weather, when the display can become unresponsive.
If you want to chill out without getting any phone calls or text messages then you can use the blocking mode on the handset, which is found under personalisation.
You can disable My Magazine if you press down on the home screen and hold it, then un-tick the feature in the Home screen settings.
You don’t have to flick through different pages on the home screen to get to your fitness app. You can click on the number page.
If you want to find any files on your handset you can do it with the S Finder.
You can choose different wallpaper for the home screen and the lock screen, which offers more ways of personalising your device.
Samsung added in S Voice but if you don’t want to use it you can disable it. Go into the settings in S Voice and then disable to wake via home button.
If you use Google search you can just say OK Google when you want to make a phone call or send a message.
There is a great app that works along the lines of the Facebook chat head, except this is customisable shortcuts.
