Samsung Galaxy S5 Destroys iPhone 5S In Battery Life Tests Too

In a recent battery life benchmark test, it came to light that the new Samsung Galaxy S5 outruns the Apple iPhone 5S for 3D gaming and talk time.

The benchmark for the battery life was posted on smartphone.bg and showed that the Apple iPhone 5S outperforms the Samsung Galaxy S5 for using battery consumption when browsing the web. The web browsing test was made through Wi-Fi and the devices brightness was set to 230 nits.

While the battery of the Apple iPhone 5S is smaller at 1,560mAh, than the battery of the Samsung Galaxy S5 at 2,800mAh, when it came to browsing on Wi-Fi the superior display tech of Apple could have resulted in the impressive screen on times with reduction in battery consumption for the iPhone.

Browsing on Wi-Fi further revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S5 scored seven more hours of on screen time even when running at the peak luminance.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is said to offer better battery life endurance and can provide as much as 10 hours screen on time in web browsing through Wi-Fi tests with the display set to 120 nits, which is standard.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 came out top in 3D gaming and talk time. It took pole position above the Apple iPhone 5S, the LG G2, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the Google Nexus 5 and the Sony Xperia Z1.

So it seems that the benchmark does show the benefits of having a larger battery of 2,800mAh inside the Samsung Galaxy S5 instead of the thinner Apple iPhone 5S with the smaller battery.
