GTA 5 1.09 Update Doesn’t Confiscate Hacked Money

It was a week ago when Rockstar stepped out of the shadows an gave out a stern warning to hackers who have been ruining GTA Online’s economy. Following that announcement, Rockstar rolled out the 1.09 update to GTA 5 which was initially believed to see GTA Online restored to it’s normal state.

The appearance of hackers back in December has seen many players being gifted with millions and billions of hacked GTA Dollars. At the moment, the number of hackers present in GTA Online is on a sharp decline thanks to the addition of a cheater’s lobby.

Those players who hacked the game with mods are now banned from public lobbies. Such an action by Rockstar sparked fear that the players are going to lose their huge piles of cash. After all, the game developer has confirmed that sooner or later, a system will be launched to take out the hacked GTA dollars from players’ bank accounts automatically.

Some of the players even argued that it is unfair for Rockstar to do so claiming that they’ve earned the money legally. This appears to be true since hackers gave out unlimited money by fixing huge amount of prize on bounties.

The fear soon turned into a mixture of relief and suspense. Players can relax a little bit longer knowing that their money is still intact despite the 1.09 update. This means that a special fix update will be released in the future and will definitely catch players by surprise.

The GTA community calls it “Moneypocalypse”. They used the term apocalypse since nobody knows when it is going to happen. Of course, money refers to these hacked GTA dollars.
