Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.2.2 Custom ROM Installation Guide

An Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean ROM has been released for the international version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. If you have no interest in waiting for the official update, here is how you can perform the custom ROM installation.

Before you get exited on the update installation, please make sure that your Note 2 still has at least 70% of its battery charge. Running out of battery during the installation process would be damaging to your beloved device. You would also need USB debugging mode enabled on your Note 2, the Note 2 USB drivers installed on your computer, CWM custom recovery installed on your Note 2 and of course, you need to download the ROM and the Google Apps package.

Follow the outlined steps below to make the installation;

Connect your Note 2 to the PC via USB and copy the custom ROM and the Google Apps package into the Note 2 SD card.
Switch off the Note 2 and Reboot into recovery mode. (press and hold Volume up + Volume down + Power keys simultaneously)
Perform factory reset/wipe data, wipe cahce partition and wipe Dalvik cache under advance.
Return to the main menu to begin the installation. Choose “install zip from SD card > choose zip from SD card.” Select the custom ROM zip file you have copied
Repeat previous step but choose the Google Apps package file instead.
When the installation had been completed, go back to the main menu and choose reboot system now.

Your Samsung Galaxy Note 2 would take some time to reboot for the first time after the installation. Just keep calm and wait for it. Now you would have Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean running on your Note 2. So, how do you like it?
