One month after Resident Evil 6 was released Capcom hit the headlines again when they revealed that Resident Evil 7 was in development. Resident Evil 6 did not go down well with fans thanks to all the action gameplay.
Capcom know all too well about this and a statement has been made by the developer which could suggest that Resident Evil 7 will arrive with the horror that was requested from fans. Capcom also praised the success of the Resident Evil franchise and out the success of it down to realism.
Even with a change in genre, the protagonist grew in the story. This was a rookie police officer when he first came into the game and who went on to become one of the most important people in the entire world. So the developer could have dropped a hint that the protagonist will grow more mature in Resident Evil 7 and overcome obstacles.
Capcom said that Resident Evil 7 would have more features along with new possibilities and that fans wouldn’t be disappointed with it.
