Automakers seem to be putting a lot of effort into making their vehicles more autonomous than ever as they come out with new driverless features to help ease the burden of the driver but that is not what Porsche plans to offer.
Porsche;s chief executive Oliver Blume announce that Porsche has no interest in autonomous driver tech. He added that their customers want to drive a Porsche likening an autonomous Porsche to an iPhone, he added that an iPhone should be in our pockets and not on the road.
Automakers like BMW, Audi Mercedes have been making a lot of progress when it comes to autonomous driving and tech making it seems like we won’t have to be driving our own vehicle very soon but it looks like you will still be driving if you plan to own a Porsche.
While we won’t be seeing a Porsche with an auto-pilot feature, we will definitely see them coming in with a more fuel-efficient hybrid engines.
