Sony Japan Studio’s Chris Ashime caused a stir by talking about the potential game coming from Naughty Dog. He had some interesting answers to some questions about the future direction of Uncharted.
He said that Naughty Dog is working on a new game, but he didn’t know if this was Uncharted 4. We can take this two ways – it’s either Uncharted 4, or the follow-up to The Last of Us.
Two popular games here, but PR has seen signs that people don’t want another Uncharted, while others reckon Uncharted 4 will be out later this year.
NowGamer said it talked to the voice of Nathan Drake, Nolan North. He’s seen tests and apparently it looks brilliant. So is this game Uncharted 4 or not? If so, it’ll do well for the studio, with its good looks.
The Metro said that Lord of the Rings actor Dominic Monaghan had mentioned an Uncharted game – he’s been one of the voice actors in the series.
This all makes Uncharted 4 look a bit more likely.
PR said that The Last of Us 2 is still possible, and some good ideas for the sequel have been doing the rounds – including a prequel. Prequels are the in-thing at the moment.
A prequel will mean different characters, though, and Naughty Dog likes to keep the same characters going for at least three episodes.
