It is with great sympathy for the Half Life community as they have been victims of a decade long wait for a third Half Life sequel. Valve have been the guilty party for failing to come clean with the fans, leaving them in a state of torture.
As silent as Valve may be, some fans have taken things into their own hands. A team of modders have been working hard to produce a fan made Half Life 3 using every element on Half Life 2. This can be quite ridiculous considering Half Life 2 was technology from a decade ago.
Nevertheless, the team known as Cinema Mod is now in alpha 12 stage which injects high resolution textures, increased foliage and much more to the old game. Screenshot of the progress can be viewed here.
Valve can stay quiet all they want but that won’t stop the leaks from surfacing. Even the co-founder, Gabe Newell, has been guilty of evading the questions regarding Half Life 3 during the last AMA Reddit. Perhaps it is up to the fans to give themselves what they want.
