The Xbox One has been on the market for some time now and has been selling quite well. It does have one fault though and this is to do with the Kinect extension cable. The Xbox 360 arrived with the Kinect 1.0 and a USB extension cable that was around 50 feet in length. This meant that owners could put the console anywhere they wanted. When the Xbox One and Kinect 2.0 arrived it lacked the cables and so limits where owners can put the console in their homes.
Despite many gamers calling for the release of the cable, Microsoft has yet to release one. Gamers have voiced their opinions over at the Xbox Forum. The issue is troublesome to those who have wall mounted their TV sets with cables going into a small track in a specific room so that they are organised. The stock cable cannot reach very high.
At the moment the only cable is the USB 3.0 one, but compatibility isn’t known and no one wants to be the first to test it.
Some people who have not made the move to the Xbox One are considering not doing so thanks to the lack of the Kinect 2.0 cable. They have said that it isn’t worth destroying their décor just to play the console. Gamers have said that they don’t mind if the cable comes by way of a 3rd party developer, as long as one arrives soon.
