About two months ago, Honda launched the first commercial on the upcoming Civic Type-R. While not many understood the visual elements they saw on the clip, it still managed to hype up the fans.
Earlier today, a new teaser video was launched and this time, it is less subliminal and more straightforward. The short clip toggles between the latest European Civic hatchback racing on the streets and the upcoming Civic Type R which is expected to do it better. Furthermore, the video revealed the sound of the 280hp 2L turbo which will power the Type R.
The video was shot in Croatia back in September and it does look like its Concept model which was unveiled last year. However, the details from the latter are absent on the final product and fans can see that with the pre-facelift design at the Type R’s front.
We don’t wish to spoil the details for those who have yet to see the video. So, to conclude, the Civic Type R reminded us on the Mitsubishi Evo craze from the past decade. Just about every enthusiast can’t wait to see the Honda Civic Type R making its debut.
