Nexus 5 Shows iPhone 5S, Galaxy Note 3 & S4 There’s No Middle Ground

Google launched its Nexus 5 last November, and by now we know how well it’s faring against the market competition.

You need to remember that Google brings out the Nexus devices to show the world what it can expect for the next year. The Nexus One came out and was leaps ahead of the competition, and subsequent Nexus handsets have also been pioneers. The Nexus 2 brought NFC, and now the Nexus 5 is sporting KitKat, which puts it ahead of most of its rivals.

There’s more to a device than the OS, of course, so it’s a good job that the Nexus 5 has all the right stuff – cameras, hardware, chips and best of all for many, a fair price. How does it stack up against the likes of the iPhone 5S, the HTC One, the Moto X, the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Note 3 and the LG G2, then?

Even though it’s a brilliant phone, it won’t be to everyone’s taste. Those who like it will love it. The alternative response is to hate it – there’s no middle ground.
