In the Minecraft world, the Xbox 360 community is definitely ahead of the PS3 in terms of getting the game itself as well as updates and add-ons. 4J Studios have been working hard to balance the progress of the two consoles.
Minecraft for Xbox 360 has been added with skin packs since day one. Aside from all the mainstream skins like Marvel and such, the Microsoft version of the game also got itself skins from a couple of Xbox-exclusive titles. This includes the likes of Gears of War and Left 4 Dead.
Now, the PS3 is looking to keep up with the Xbox 360. 4J Studios is looking to bring in Playstation-exclusive skins to the PS3 just like how it was with the Xbox 360. The game developer confirmed that skins depicting Nathan Drake, Helghast and Sly Cooper will soon make an entry into the PS3 version of Minecraft.
The skins will roll in slowly into Minecraft for the consoles from now on. After all, 4J Studios is practically busy in producing the highly anticipated TU14 update which will come in the near future. Until then, players will have to make-do with what they have.
