Minecraft game developers have finally snapped out of holiday mood and look to hit top gear throughout this year. Just last month, Jens Bergensten or better known as Jeb, had Tweeted on Minecraft 1.8 images coming in January.
It is already January and soon Jeb will look to release the first set of snapshots for Minecraft 1.8. The upcoming update will look to make some small changes on every aspect of the game.
The enchantment system will see some changes and there will also be some rebalancing of anvils to support the new enchanting system. Also, enchantment will then be separated and has its own XP requirement. If players need to perform a chant, they also have to consider the gold requirements.
Like every update, there will be new additions. Players can enjoy new blocks coming their way which includes raw and smooth granite, more stone choices and a slimey-looking bouncy block.
Other changes include the ability to lock on a difficult, doors are stackable up to 64 and crafting recipe now creates 3 doors instead of 1.
While the update might not make any drastic major changes, it should be able to keep players busy while the team of developers works on one major update coming soon. As of this moment, Minecraft 18 release date is still unknown.
