Mass Effect 4 will be the fourth instalment in the series and it is said to be big. The game is currently in development and it could be released soon. Bioware have said that Commander Shepard is not going to be in the new game as it is time for his retirement.
Yanik Roy, the Studio Director for Bioware in Montreal has been assuring gamers that the game will remain as good as ever even without Commander Shepard. Roy said that the game will still have its traditional gameplay and fans welcomed this news.
At the same time he said that Mass Effect 4 would offer cinematic storytelling, which would appeal to gamers. While Shepard may be missed by gamers Bioware said that he had to go or the trilogy could have been spoiled.
Roy said that there will be a large galaxy to explore along with alien races being more diverse. At the moment it is not known when the game is set. It could take place before Shepard, during or after.
