Here in Malaysia, owning a car can really cut a hole in your wallet due to its high tax. This explains why there aren’t many sports cars in the nation to begin with.
Lotus saw the need of more sports cars on Malaysian road and decided to drag the prices of its vehicle down so that more and more locals can own one. Here is the list of the new prices:
I. Lotus Elise S – RM279,888 (previously RM332,200)
II. Lotus Exige S Coupe – RM405,777 (previously RM467,230)
III. Lotus Exige S Roadster – RM410,777
IV. Lotus Evora S – RM475,999 (previously RM567,250)
Purchasing the vehicle will come with 3 years warranty and a 2-year free maintenance and service package. Each car purchased will also grant the buyer a complimentary one time Lotus Driving Academy entry, where he/she can explore the full potential of the Lotus in a safe and controlled environment.
The Elise S is the cheapest of them all and should be the most appealing. The car can achieve 100km/h in just 4.6s. The Elise S is powered by a 217 hp, 250 Nm supercharged 1.8 litre Dual VVT-i Toyota engine mated to a six-speed manual.
Also, buyers can opt for the Touring Pack and see the Elise S featuring a leather interior, cupholders, additional noise insulation, cruise control, and additional audio inputs, among other small amenities.
