One of the most anticipated smartphones coming this year is the Nexus 6. Like the Nexus 4 and 5, this upcoming device is expected to be based on the LG G series, the G3.
LG is expected to launch the G3 much earlier this year as it looks to compete with the likes of Samsung and Apple. As such, the G3 is expected to arrive in 18 or 19 June this year.
On another note, there is another LG device coming earlier in June. It is believed to be the LG Hero. The device bears the codename the LG B2 and it is unsure on what it has to offer. Such a move by LG sparks rumours on a twin Nexus 6 coming this year. One will be based on the G3 while the other on the Hero.
However, this will only be clarified during Google’s I/O conference happening in June this year. On that same event, the US tech giant is expected to unveil the next Android 4.5 or 5.0 as well. If this is to go as how it was thought to be, then expect the Nexus 6 to roll out on the Google Store in a matter of weeks after the unveiling.
The Nexus 6 is rumoured to be a sturdy device. It will boast a 5.5inch display that offers 2K resolution at 2560 x1440. It will also be waterproof and dustproof with IP67 certification.
The Nexus 6 will run on either the Snapdragon 805 or the 810 that are expected to be 64-bit. There will be the Adreno GPU and a 4GB RAM. More importantly, the Nexus 6 will come with an amazingly small price tag.
