Gamers have been given additional details about Keyblade in Kingdom Hearts 3 by Tetsuya Nomura, despite the game not yet having an official release date. Siliconera said that the director of the game had recently talked with Famitsu and said that the trailer gave fans a look at some of the new capabilities of the key shaped weapon.
Nomura hinted that along with the weapon being a gun, Keyblade had what was described by Nomura as being “unbelievable transformations.”
At the same time the director said that Keyblade could have uses outside of those of a weapon in Kingdom Hearts 3. Famitsu brought up the topic of the weapon being used as a vehicle. Nomura replied “According to suggestions from the planning side, it’ll likely be used as some sort of gimmick. The Keyblade has infinite [possibilities].”
Kingdom Hearts 3 was recently announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expo courtesy of a video message. The director said that the sequel would be the end of the series.
Kingdom Hearts 3 will arrive on the PS4 and Xbox One, both of which were launched in November last year.
Kingdom Hearts 3 can be pre-ordered through Amazon for the Xbox One and PS4.
