A recent concept image of the iPhone 6 suggests that device could be a phablet and it will rival others on the market.
We have seen a render from Simone Evangelista and Ran Avni which shows a handset of 5.5 inches and Concept Phones said that the device will have long volume buttons that are very much like those of the iPad Mini.
In the concept the body looked like the design of the iPad Mini with it being more elongated and wider. The handset also has slim bezels at the side of the display. There is a Home button and this is holds the TouchID fingerprint sensor.
At the moment Apple hasn’t revealed anything about the iPhone 6, but there are plenty of rumours going around that the device will fall into the phablet category. We also heard that there could be two variations of the iPhone 6 this year and that both will have larger displays. It is said that both will have processors that are faster, the A8, and will run on iOS 8. The iPhone 5S TouchID fingerprint scanner will also be improved.
Apple recently launched the cheaper version of the iPhone 5 C in 8GB and it is available in China, Australia and Europe. Apple had hoped to regain their dominance in the market by releasing a more affordable version of the iPhone 5C. It was suggested that the handset has been a flop since it came out last year in September. This was due to the fact that was what supposed to be a low cost handset was in fact more expensive when compared to other phones on the market.
DigiTimes said that Apple have 3 million units that they cannot sell in the Pegatron warehouse and around 1 million are sitting on the shelves over at retailers.
The release date for the iPhone 6 is speculated as being at the WWDC in June and the handset could appear along with iOS 8. It is thought that this could be delayed as Apple has just launched the 8GB iPhone 5C. other reports suggest that it may arrive in September of October.
