The community of Resident Evil have been having it tough recently as the gaming series has been poor since the release of Resident Evil 4.
The Resident Evil franchise started out well and it soon became a success as people loved the horror and thriller experience it offered. However when the first trilogy came to an end things changed and the franchise has been heading downhill ever since.
Resident Evil 6 was a good example of this as players were forced into multi-play and the gameplay itself veered off its original course and into being more action based.
Capcom received many complaints from fans of the franchise and it seems that they may have taken everything in. Resident Evil 7 is thought to be heading back to the roots of the franchise. Fans of the series feel that Resident Evil 2 was the best game in the entire series. Fans also highlighted features from the trilogy that they said would make Resident Evil 7 a better game.
One of the main things that gamers want is the return to the horror based game. Along with this they would like a storyline that was darker and which has been tweaked to balance itself in the game. Fans have more hope that Resident Evil 7 will be more like the original trilogy thanks to the fact that Capcom have communicated with fans.
