The p0sixspwn standalone untethered jailbreak tool for Mac and Windows has now been updated to v1.0.8.
This information was revealed after the developer Steven De Franco with the twitter name @iH8sn0w revealed the updated version on the social media website. Any iTunes 11.1+ chrashes will also be fixed with this update.

Redsnow can be used to do the jailbreak by using p0sixpwn tool, which can be found on Cydia, to change the tethered jailbreak into an untethered jailbreak.
The iOS 6 was made for older handsets including the iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 4G togetehr with iOS 7 in February. Not long afterwards @iH8sn0w released the untethered jailbreak.
The untethered jailbreak tool supports handsets including iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch 4G, iPod touch 5G, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4 and iPad Mini powered by OS 6.1.3–iOS 6.1.6.
