iPhone: Steps to Downgrade From iOS 7.1.2 To iOS 7.0.4

iOS 7.1.1 happens to be the latest version from Apple but some people who downloaded it have been regretting updating to it. One of the worst parts was that you could not go back. However someone has now worked out how to go back to iOS 7.1.1 from iOS 7.0.4.

The process was made with the Verizon version of the 64GB iPhone 5S using iTunes 11.2.2 and OSX 10.9.2. While it hasn’t been tried, it could also work with other variations.

You go back you have to plug your handset into the computer and it then shows that the device is running on the latest version of iOS. There should also be a prompt and this asks if you want to restore from a backup. If you click on it, it then shows you the older version of iOS that were created when making a back-up.

If you click on the older version of iOS you can revert. Of course you could have some data missing and if you have a back-up that is corrupted you could try to use iPhone Backup Extractor.
