Hyundai have been talking about producing the Hyundai truck for some time and it is thought that confirmation is going to come in November. But which segment is the pickup truck going to be in?
The pickup truck could be coming in the mid-sized section or it may arrive in the larger market. However two vehicles in the segment are the Ford Ranger and the F-150, so Hyundai are going to have to offer something special by way of the Hyundai truck.
The Hyundai truck may be coming to the mid-sized segment as this is the market that Hyundai seems to be keen to get into. It is thought that perhaps the vehicle will have the base of the Santa Cruz and it may have a short bed on the back of it.
We have already seen a lot of concept sketches of the Santa Cruz pick up and if they follow this it should be good. Of course the Ranger hasn’t arrived on the market in the US and the Hyundai truck may be able to take its place among the mid-sized market and perhaps even dominate it.
