It is finally out. HTC One and One Mini users in the UK can start updating their phone to the latest Android 4.4 KitKat. This latest Android OS was released late last year and after months of anticipation, it is finally rolled out.
Of course, this is restricted to customers who have unlocked their HTC One and One Mini, Vodafone, Three and O2 variants.
Across the Atlantic, the US HTC One and One Mini are also enjoying the update. The users affected are those from AT&T, T-Mobile and the Google Edition of both devices.
The Kitkat update will bring in plenty of improvements to the devices’ operating system. This includes tighter cloud integration, a unified inbox and the removal of Adobe Flash Support.
Aside from the HTC One and One Mini, the Nexus 5, Motorola Moto G, Moto X and the Galaxy S4 are the smartphones that are updated to the Kitkat. The setback is with HTC One X. Despite being 18 months old, the smartphone got denied of the Kitkat.
