HTC One Android 4.4.2 KitKat Rollout Postponed Again

Is it self-destruct for HTC? The Taiwan-based phone vendor has just recorded its first annual lost last year and just when the company thought it will come back stronger this year, things have taken to a whole new direction.

The Android 4.4 Kitkat update for the HTC One has been rolled out in the US and the users there are entirely happy with it. This isn’t the case in the UK where out of the blue, HTC has suspended rolling out the firmware over-the-air update.

The company revealed that HTC One users in the UK have been experiencing some difficulties with the Kitkat update on their devices. It is unsure on what they are but it has to be really big. After all, the problem has forced HTC to suspend the Kitkat update.

HTC added that they are working hard to find a solution to this issue. Until then, HTC One owners in the UK will not be able to update their device.

The Kitkat firmware has a build number 4.19.401.8 with a size of 308.24MB. It was rolled out to the unlocked HTC One, Vodafone, O2 and Three networks.
