HTC Nexus 6 Will Be Identical To New HTC One M8 After All?

The Nexus 6 could be almost the same as the HTC One M8, with its premium build of metallic. Experts have been calling it the best Android phone in the world, this is even before the device has actually been launched.

It has been said that Google is moving the Nexus 6 project from LG, who were behind the Nexus 4 and 5, to HTC. The base model for the Nexus 6 will be the HTC One M8.

One of the reasons for the move is said to be that the HTC One M8 is a solid handset with some superb specs. Google wants the Nexus handset to be recognised as being a premium handset, plus it will have to compete with the likes of the Apple iPhone 6.

Rumours have said that the iPhone is going to be designed in aluminium alloy or perhaps Liquidmetal casing and it will have the same tough body build of past versions of the iPhone. Google are focusing on making a device that will be just as impressive.

We did hear that the HTC One M8 could be about to be launched in the Google Play Edition.

Just as in the past Google could strip down the specs of the HTC One that would make their way into the Nexus 6. We have seen this happen with the Nexus 4 and 5, the base of these were the LG Optimus G Pro and the LG G2.

This would help to keep down the costs of the Nexus 6 made by HTC.

One of the features that are thought to be making its way is Google Wireless, this will be tapped into the ever expanding Google Fiber broadband network. It is said that Google plan for the Nexus and Google Play handsets to be able to access superfast wireless internet outside the teleco infrastructures which are established.

It is thought that the pilot rollouts for Google Wireless come happen soon in select US locations.

It is also thought that the Nexus 6 could have a 64 bit optimised KitKat, which it has been said has been ported, validated and tested.

Google could finally offer an Android device which has 64 bit computing prowess.

The Nexus 6 could be launched with the 64 bit mobile platform, maybe Android 4.5 or 5, with the Snapdragon 805 or 810 chips that would work alongside 4GB of RAM.
