Gamers who played the Half Life series have been waiting for close to a decade for the next instalment in the series, which should be Half Life 3. There is still no indication as to how much longer they will have to wait.
Even though Valve is keeping quiet on the subject, fans of the series have been in discussion about the game.
There may be many reasons why Half Life 3 hasn’t arrived yet, with some people believing that perhaps Valve haven’t been able to come up a decent storyline. The developer is not going to want to jeopardise the games reputation with ideas that have not been properly though out.
Valve is working on Source 2 development and the creation of new engine will take a lot of time. As such, this could have left Half Life 3 on the back burner.
The Steam Box is in the making and set to be a future gaming console. Valve will want it to compete with the Xbox and PlayStation, so all hands could have been working on this.
Valve as always will only release Half Life 3 when they are good and ready to do so.
