With the Apple iOS 8 already running on the all-new iPhone 6, many iOS 7.1.1 users were left wondering on whether Evad3rs will produce a jailbreak for the recently replaced OS. Well, the answer is still no.
Jailbreak godfather, Evad3rs, has already confirmed that they have no intentions of developing the iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak at all. Instead, the jailbreak team are more determined to crack the iOS 8 rather than putting a lot of effort on something that is short-lasting.
For those that are desperate for the iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak and couldn’t stand waiting for an untethered iOS 8 can refer to another popular hacker, Winocm. The lad had just developed the untethered iOS 7.1.1 for the fourth-generation iPhones, first-generation iPads and iPod Touch.
Then again, those are the only jailbreaks that are available at the moment. After all, they are simple to develop as the system’s main core has already been fully infiltrated. It seems that the only way to get around this is by waiting for the iOS 8 jailbreak.
