Google Nexus 10 2 Sets the Date – at Last!

Google has announced that the tablet-optimized apps will be more visible for those browsing the Play store with a tablet starting Nov. 21.

Recently, a blog post by Google Play team had announced that starting the 21st November, those who were using tablets would be able to get more visibility for apps that were optimized for tablets. The blog post went;
“On Nov. 21, the Play Store will make a series of changes so it’s even easier for tablet users to find those apps that are best for their devices. First, by default, users browsing Google Play on a tablet will now see apps and games that are designed for tablets on the top lists (Top Paid, Top Free, Top Grossing, Top New Paid, Top New Free, and Trending). Tablet users will still be able to switch the view so they can see all apps or games if they choose”

This might also means that the Google Nexus 10 2 would be released on the same date. Google had not directly announced this but it seems like the news that the Google Play Store would be updated in such way is a hint that the Google Nexus 10 2 would be released on the 21st of November. There had also been some hints that the Google Nexus 10 2 would be released together with the Nexus 8.

On the other hand, Apple had announced that they would be launching the iPad Mini 2 on the 22nd of November. Is this Google’s attempt to steal the iPad Mini 2’s limelight?
