It does feel like we never get the good things. It was originally assume that Ford will be giving the Ford Fiesta an RS badge but they later came out to clarify that that was not going to happen.
While the Ford Fiesta will not be getting an RS badge, Ford will still be releasing a new and more powerful model that they are now calling the Ford Fiesta ST200. The new powerful model was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.
Under the hood of the Ford Fiesta ST200 is a 1.6 liter Ecoboost four-cylinder engine that will be delivering about 197hp and 214lb ft of torque. The engine will be able to go up to 212hp with the temporary over boost.
With the upgraded engine, the Ford Fiesta ST200 will be able to go from 0-62mph in 6.7seconds with a top speed of 143mph. As exciting as this sound, Ford also added that the Ford Fiesta ST200 is a European specific model and that they do not see the Ford Fiesta ST200 coming to here in the near future.
