Far Cry 4 release date news hasn’t been that much of a big surprise, the latest news is that Ubisoft in Shangai are working on development of Far Cry 4. On the LinkedIn profile of design manager, Xavier Plagnal there are claims that he has been the content director of next Far Cry game since September 2013. It is thought that Ubisoft Shangai will be only working on part of the development of Far Cry 4 as they also worked on some of the development for Far Cry 3 with Massive, Red Storm and the Montreal Studios of Ubisoft.
The senior vice president of marketing and sales of Ubisoft was talking with GameSpot in July and said that Far Cry 4 would happen as Far Cry 3 had been successful. He said “We’re totally psyched from [Far Cry 3],” “It’s a great brand, and now it’s got the recognition it deserves, so we’re clearly going to make another one. More on that soon.”
However it seems that Ubisoft idea of soon isn’t the same as ours as we are now into 2014 and they haven’t given fans anything official. So it is looking as though a release this year is out of the question. While there was a lot of FPS content in 2013 fans would rather wait for Far Cry 4 to come out in 2015 rather than having the game rushed out and then it getting beat by Halo 5, COD and Titanfall.
So the question on the lips of fans is when will Far Cry 4 be released?
There was a teaser image going around in October last year but there wasn’t any confirmation on authenticity. Still it did have gamers talking as it seemed to drop out a hint that the game would be revealed on 4th April. The image said “Let’s Play” you can see the date “4.04.2014.” This date would be in line as it is just one week before PAX East and months before the E3, both events usually show off footage from new games.
If the image posted was the real deal it also gives an indication that Vaas will feature in the game or have something to do with it.
