Both Fallout 4 and Elder Scrolls 6 are two of the biggest future titles to come from Bethesda. Even so, it is the former that deserve to get released first as the Fallout fans have been waiting longer for a sequel than the Elder Scrolls community.
However, Bethesda does not operate on chronological rights but instead they make business-driven decisions. This explains why the game developer decided to break the hearts of Fallout fans through teasing on Elder Scrolls 6.
In detail, Bethesda hinted that Elder Scrolls 6 will be set in the region of Argonia and there are tons of exciting new features that are coming with it. The reveal left Fallout fans disappointed as there has yet to be any teases on Fallout 4. This is despite of the fact that Bethesda has been continuously bombarded by queries on the future sequel.
Then again, fans need to understand that Bethesda’s love for the Elder Scrolls franchise is down to the fact that it sells about 5 times better than the Fallout franchise. Furthermore, Bethesda is aiming to challenge Bioware’s Dragon Age Inquisition for the best RPG title on both the Xbox One and PS4.
If so, then it is pretty obvious that Elder Scrolls VI will get released ahead of Fallout 4. While even Elder Scrolls fans might not agree with this move, Bethesda looks certain to proceed in this direction. Perhaps, the arrival of Bioware’s Mass Effect 4 might force Bethesda to finally talk about Fallout 4.
