TheSurvivor2299 is back! Unless you’re a Fallout enthusiast, this highly popular website has managed to fool the entire Fallout community on a possible fourth sequel. The culprit came clean and admitted his doings on Reddit and up until now, the fans are still traumatized by the hoax.
Following the incident, the site got taken down temporarily. Now, Survivor2299 has returned and with it comes a whole new set of puzzles and cryptic message. More importantly, there is a promise that something will be happening this spring.
Before you get excited, all these content isn’t referring to Fallout 4. Instead, it is a continuation of the viral ARG.
Previously, Bethesda themselves are guilty of not helping out the fans. This time, the game developer was there to protect its fans from being sucked into yet another hoax. Pete Hines went on Twitter and warned the fans that the site has nothing to do with Fallout 4.
As a matter of fact, the hoaxer even went on Reddit and gave the community a heads up himself. It appears that Survivor2299 is only revealing that a mod that continues from Fallout New Vegas is in the makings.
