It has been four years since Fallout New Vegas was released and fans are crying out in desperation for Bethesda to start producing Fallout 4. Even when nothing has been announced on the highly anticipated sequel, fans can expect Fallout 4 to arrive on both the Xbox One and PS4.
Even with such a certainty, fans are unsure if Fallout 4 is going to be graphically special after studying on the game engine which Bethesda is using.
Back in Fallout 3, the game was running on the same engine that was used by Elder Scrolls Oblivion. Of course, Bethesda gave it some upgrades to run more fluently on Fallout 3. If the pattern is to follow, fans could be seeing Fallout 4, running on an improved game engine that is used by Skyrim.
Some might question on whether Skyrim’s specification can work well with the next-gen gaming hardwares. Even if it does become the core mechanism for Fallout 4, there is no doubt that Bethesda will tweak it to maximize the engine’s potential.
Nevertheless, fans can be sure that there won’t be a new game engine powering Fallout 4. After all, Bethesda will surely make the game as a multi-platformer to not lose out on the profits. Furthermore, creating a new game engine will take years of development.
With that being said, fans should not hope for some intense graphics coming with Fallout 4. The most Bethesda will offer something acceptable, but not mesmerizing.
