One week after its release we saw 7jailbreak.com release a jailbreak for iOS 7, which did surprise a lot of people. However things were not as they seemed with the jailbreak. This was due to the fact that the website claimed that you didn’t have to have the phone attached to a computer to jailbreak it. The website said that the jailbreak would work on the iPhone 5S, which is Apples latest handset.
The website associated the jailbreak with the name of Joshua Hill, he is well-known amongst jailbreaking circles under the name of P0Sixninja.
Hill made it known that he didn’t have anything at all to do with the jailbreak and said it was fake. When owners downloaded it they then found their handsets filled with nothing but ads.
The jailbreaking community have waited to see if Evad3rs said anything about a jailbreak, however they haven’t, and this has led some people to suggest that perhaps they are waiting for iOS 8 from Apple.
Pod2g spoke out recently when he said that if he had some time to spare then he would look into jailbreaking iOS 7.1.
