The next-generation BMW X5 has just been released and it somehow appeals to many new license holders. This is not surprising as the X5 is equipped with the latest mechanical instruments that enhance both the performance and the safety of the vehicle.
Now, many X5 drivers are worried after hearing out three beeps consistently. It is reported that the warning-like sounds came out even when the vehicle is in stationary position.
However, this is actually nothing for the X5 owners to be worried about. The sound is understood to come from the engine system and is triggered by the On-Board Computer (OBC) settings. The OBC is situated beside the radio, near the front passenger seat.
There is nothing faulty about the system. The beeps mean that the car is running on some driving settings that are being set on the OCB. After all, the computer adjusts the time limit, speed limit and mileage limit on the car.
To fix it, X5 owners simply has to hit the Set/Resume button and it should remove any programmed driving settings for the engine. This will thus, remove the beeps from sounding in the future.
